Mr. Bigg's in Colorado Springs

Mr. Biggs is a huge place that has games, rides, toys, all kinds of stuff...they also have an area called Little Bigg Town. It is a town for todlers, everything is their size...check it out!

This tracter is made of this foam that when you fall of it, you can't get hurt!

I'm not sure if you can tell, but this is a giant sand pit that looks like it is inside of a cave. There are dinasour bones in the middle that Zak is sitting on in the next picture.

Here he is, so pround to be sitting on top!

This is in a room that had half of a ship in the room and these guns that shoot balls into the air. Zak had a good time trying to hit me in the head!

Ride that dragon!!!

Zak got to dress up as a policeman, fireman, mechanic and an astronaut!!

Santa's Workshop at the North Pole

Zak already told Santa what he wants for Christmas!!

The view from the top of the ferris wheel.

Zak wasn't too sure about this one. After it started to rock front to back (it is like the ship that rocks) he kinda freaked out. He wanted off pretty bad!

You may not be able to tell by his face, but this was his favorite ride! Until he couldn't figure out how to shoot the kid behind him.

OK, this was his favorite...there were too many to count!! We all had fun.

Vacation in Colorado Springs....

A beautiful view!!!

Zak was so excited to get out of the car, he ran around in circles forever!

If you look real close, Jason and Zak are at the bottom of the Simese Twins (sp?) at the Garden of the Gods.

We went hiking in the Garden of the Gods while we where there, Zak really enjoyed his hike!

After our hike we enjoyed a picnic in the park. Zak had mac n' cheese while mommy and daddy enjoyed out cold cheeseburgers!! YEAAHHH!!!

Mommy and Zaky photo-op!

Birthday Pictures!

As you can see, Abbie loves her cake and ice cream!!

Grandma Terri and Aunt Erlita

Plenty of cake to go around!

Grandpa Jack, just hanging out, enjoying all the fun.

Too much fun for Zak. He had to take a nap on the way to dinner and the rodeo.

Sorry, no pictures of the rodeo. We were rained out, only saw a few bull rides...bummer.

update...

So I guess I need to update this thing more often. There isn't too much going on around here, just working a lot. Zak has learned how to play games on the computer. He has a Junior I Spy game that he loves. He always wants to play it. First thing in the morning, "mommy, can I play on the compooter? Just for a minute! Please, pwetty please, cherry on da toooop?" It is too cute, you'll have to see it! He can use the mouse and everything! He knows how to spell his name now, so he likes to find the letters on the keyboard and type them. I wish I had a picture of it.

Birthday Time!!

Zak is turning 4 in a few weeks and we want to celebrate with everyone! We will be having a party at our house on Saturday, the 19th of August, at 3 p.m.! Zak is looking forward to it (as every child does before the big day) and so am I. I always enjoy any time I get to spend with my family, all of them!!!

So far the plan is to go to the Mulvane Old Settlers Rodeo after the party and enjoy some good old fashion bull riding! A little family tradition that my dad and I have been carrying on for the last few years.

Anyway, let me know if you are able to make. Grandma Hazel is making the cake for us....she does a great job so you won't want to miss it!!

Kids are soooo cute...

First I need to apologize that I haven't update this blog in nearly a month. To all of you who check it every day, I truly am sorry....

This is Zak last weekend at Dawn's 10 year high school reunion. Most of you already know he that doesn't like to get dirty. For those of you who didn't know...here is your proof. (He won't touch the sand.) I had to go over and sit in the sand and play with it (with my bare hands) to show him it won't hurt him!! He is so adorable when he doesn't want to get dirty. He has just now gotten to the point that if he falls down and gets his hands dirty, he will wipe them on someone's pants....

Here he is trying his hardest to get his jammies on all by himself. The only problem, they are too small!! It doesn't matter, it is still a cute picture!

Super Suppers

I started my new job at Super Suppers this week. I have been very busy trying to learn new things and put in my time as the low man on the totem pole. Next week I will be out with my new boss, LeAnn Brown, on calls trying to drum up some business and what-not. The boys have been really good at helping out around the house, dishes, trash, laundry, etc. I couldn't ask for a better set of hands to help out.

Now, LeAnn is also known around our house as "Grandma Brown". Grandma Brown belongs to Sophie's family. Sophie is Zak's girl friend who her mom, Erlita, used to babysit for us during the week and hopefully will start up again soon?!?! Zak misses Sophie soooo much and I am sure she misses him just as much.

We must be crazy...

This is my friend Connie, we are crazy....since we volunterred last year, why not do it again!?!? The only problem is, we volunteered for someone's hobby, to run. It couldn't be to help the children, feed the hungry or anything else that may change a person's life, the world, pr anything else useful. So we are to be there at 5:30 in the morning to start setting up baracades on the roads. The race doesn't start until 8 a.m., so why so early you ask??? That is because Wichita is full of ding-dongs. If there is a baracade in the middle of the road, why do you proceed to pull up, move it, drive by it and the not put it back? If there are peopld standing around the intersection yelling at you "STOP, WAIT, YOU CAN'T DRIVE HERE...THERE ARE RUNNERS ON THE TRACK" why keep going? I guess that is what we enjoyed (being rude and knowing we will get away with it) and supporting the athletes (aka joggers, sunday mall walkers whatever you want to call them).

I don't know if anyone is aware that Wichita has a festival every year (The River Fest) to celebrate the wonderful river we have flowing thru this great city of ours. Now, let's not forget that this river is so discusting that the water has to be tested every year to make sure it will be safe for the rafters to be on the river. This is the kind of river that if you get splashed or dip your toes in, you want to go straight over the the emergancy room and get some sort of disinfecting shot to make sure you will live through the night.

Ok, so back to the river run. Sure it was fun, we got to be rude to the terrible drivers who think they are better than everyone else, get free krispy creams and a pop. You may be questioning who else is as crazy and Connie and I were to be out there in the cold, sprinkling, windy city; well, that was my mom and Ken...

The only thing wrong was that they had a golf cart (the slowest one ever made, but they had one) so they could fly up and down the blocks with their radio all official and in charge. They were taken more seriously that anyone else was. Oh, I almost forgot, we had about 50 Army men and women volunteer to help out too. They did a great job of standing up straight. Not to harp on them, they did a great job by helping out, but come on.....help a sister out and DO YOUR JOB!! You wonder why we have the be there 2 1/2 hours before the race starts, the rest of us had to get the cars off the road!
Anyway, enough of me complaining and my lack of rest. I was happy to help out with the race, it was good times had by all.
